About CandorStack

A quiet desk at golden hour: closed laptop, headphones resting on a green notebook, coffee

CandorStack is run by a small team of developers and entrepreneurs who build and operate online businesses for a living: newsletters, automation systems, AI-powered products, and the marketing stacks that hold them together. The tools reviewed on this site are the tools our own projects run on.

That's the premise, and the difference. We're not a content farm summarizing feature pages, and we're not paid by vendors to say nice things. When a platform's deliverability slips, when a pricing change quietly doubles a bill, when an "unlimited" plan turns out to have a ceiling · it happens to our own businesses first, and then it goes in the review.

Why "candor"

Because the tool-review space mostly runs on the opposite. The standard playbook is thin rewrites of vendor marketing with affiliate links attached. Our bet is that plain honesty · real use, dated facts, visible downsides, clear "who should skip this" verdicts · is both rarer and more useful. The full method is public:how we test.

What this site earns from

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, the vendor pays a commission at no extra cost to you. Which relationships exist and how they're handled is spelled out in theaffiliate disclosure. The short version: verdicts are written first, links are added after, and a bigger commission has never moved a tool up a ranking here.
